Woof and Wood provides dog training classes, workshops, 1:1 training services and secure field hire. By booking or attending any Woof and Wood service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Responsibility for Your Dog
You are responsible for the conduct, safety, and welfare of your dog at all times while attending Woof and Wood services or using the secure field.
Please be aware of other dogs and do not allow your dog to approach another dog without first asking the handler. Some dogs may be nervous or require space.
DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON A LEAD AT ALL TIMES unless:
• you are hiring the secure field for exclusive use, or
• a Woof and Wood team member instructs otherwise
DOGS MUST BE ON LEAD IN THE CAR PARK AT ALL TIMES
Owners remain legally responsible for their dogs and any injury or damage they may cause.
2. Behaviour and Welfare
If your dog becomes distressed, anxious, reactive, barking, growling, or overwhelmed during a class, we will support you and your dog. Actions may include:
• increasing distance
• moving to quieter areas
• providing management strategies
• recommending alternative formats
We never punish barking or growling — these are communication signals.
If your dog is unable to cope safely in a group environment, we may ask you to leave and will work with you to explore more suitable options such as smaller groups or 1:1 support. Entry to group classes remains at our discretion.
Dogs displaying aggression towards dogs or people — including persistent barking, lunging, or growling — are not permitted in general classes unless assessed and agreed in advance under a behaviour plan.
3. Children Attending
Children are welcome. However:
• they must be supervised at all times
• they remain the responsibility of a parent/guardian
• care should be taken around unfamiliar dogs
This ensures everyone’s safety and wellbeing.
4. Health Requirements
Please do not bring your dog if they:
• are unwell
• have a contagious illness
• are recovering from surgery (unless your vet approves)
Vaccinations or titre testing are encouraged.
Puppies attending prior to full vaccination must do so on veterinary advice.
Bitches in season may attend only with prior agreement, unless otherwise stated.
5. Vehicles and Heat Safety
The car park has limited shade. In warm weather:
• provide ventilation
• ensure water is available
• avoid leaving dogs unattended in vehicles
Woof and Wood reserves the right to ask owners to leave if animal welfare is compromised.
6. Fees and Payment
Payment is required to secure your booking.
We are unable to reserve places without payment.
7. Cancellations by You
You may cancel up to 14 days before the start date of a course or appointment.
Refunds will be issued as follows:
• Full refund minus a £20 admin fee
• Cancellation request must be received via email
Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable unless we can resell your place — in which case a £20 admin fee applies.
Refunds are made using the original payment method only.
We do not offer refunds or replacements for:
• missed sessions
• late arrivals
• partial attendance
• non-attendance for any reason
Field Hire
Secure field bookings are non-refundable.
However, you may rearrange via the booking system up to 24 hours before your session.
8. Cancellations by Us
In the rare event that we cancel a course, workshop, session, or field hire:
• a full refund will be issued within 14 days
• we will notify you by email and, where possible, telephone
Weather-related cancellations or safety closures may result in refund or reschedule.
Refunds are made via the original payment method.
9. Sunday Scent Club (Subscription Service)
Sunday Scent Club is a rolling monthly subscription programme that includes:
• one 3-hour scent workshop per month
• access to a private WhatsApp group
Subscription Term
Membership continues until cancelled by the participant.
Payments are taken monthly in advance.
Cancellations by You
You may cancel your subscription at any time.
However:
• your place is not held once cancelled
• we cannot guarantee future availability
• rejoining is subject to space
Missing a Workshop
If you cannot attend a workshop:
• fees are non-refundable
• however, if we are able to successfully resell your place for that month’s workshop, we may refund that month’s subscription payment minus a £20 admin fee
Refunds cannot be issued unless resale is confirmed.
Cancellations by Us
If a monthly workshop is cancelled by Woof and Wood:
• we will offer either a refund for that month
or
• provide an alternative session where available
Membership continues unless you instruct otherwise.
10. Training Methods & Equipment
Woof and Wood follows the APDT, UK Code of Practice.
We do not permit:
• harsh handling
• intimidation
• choke chains
• prong collars
• shock/electronic collars
• spray collars/devices
Anyone unwilling to train without fear, pain or intimidation may be asked to leave.
No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.
Training Outcomes
We use professional skill, care, and positive methods.
However, behaviour outcomes cannot be guaranteed as they depend on many external factors.
11. Health & Safety
All attendees agree to follow site safety guidance and evacuation procedures.
Attendance is at your own risk.
12. Parking
Woof and Wood accepts no responsibility for damage or loss to vehicles or contents.
Please park considerately as space is limited.
13. Secure Field Use
Our secure field is naturally managed fenland and may contain:
• uneven ground
• ponds
• rabbit warrens
• brambles
• the Confidence Course
Fencing is a minimum of 4ft high.
Field hire does not include use of the 6ft paddocks or equipment inside them.
Please ensure:
• dogs are supervised at all times
• gates are kept closed
• you vacate before your time slot ends
• dogs are back in vehicles before the next client arrives
Many clients attend because their dogs require space — thank you for supporting this.
Dogs with contagious illness must not attend.
Bitches in season are welcome.
Use of the field is entirely at your own risk.
14. Emergencies
If your dog requires urgent veterinary care and you cannot be contacted, we may seek treatment on your behalf.
Owners remain responsible for any costs incurred.
15. Insurance
Woof and Wood holds appropriate business and public liability insurance.
Owners remain legally responsible for their dogs at all times.
Privacy Policy
Woof and Wood collects and uses personal information to provide services and support clients. All data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
If anything in this policy is unclear, please contact our Data Protection Officer.

We collect information from clients booking services either on site or at home including:
• name
• email address
• contact details
• address (for home visits)
• relevant dog training information
Information is collected via booking, email or consultation.
2. Why We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
• confirm bookings
• provide services
• manage the booking system
• communicate essential service information
• provide updates relating to services you may be interested in
We only use information where necessary and store it securely.
Only authorised Woof and Wood staff have access.
Processing is carried out under Legitimate Interest, including:
• maintaining our relationship with you
• respecting contact preferences
3. Data Retention
Your data is deleted from our systems 3 years after last contact.
4. Your Rights
You have the right to:
• access your data
• request correction
• request deletion
• restrict processing
• object to processing
If consent is the legal basis for processing, you may withdraw it at any time.
You may also contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.
5. Security
Pages collecting personal data are protected by SSL encryption.
6. Photography & Social Media
We may take photos or videos onsite for use on:
• website
• TikTok
• marketing materials
Please notify us if you do not wish images of you or your dog to be used.
This will not affect your participation.
7. Newsletter
We may email you inviting you to join our newsletter.
You may unsubscribe at any time.
8. Website Analytics
We use Google Analytics to monitor website usage.
No personally identifiable data is stored.
